Understand your options before deciding
Choose accommodation around recovery needs
Consider distance from the clinic, lift access, stairs, bathroom access, cleanliness, quiet, reliable electricity, space for a companion and the ability to obtain food or medicines. The cheapest or most tourist-oriented option may not be the most practical after treatment.
Confirm who makes the booking
The clinic can help with information and coordination, while accommodation and transport may be supplied by independent providers. Confirm the provider, price, cancellation terms, payment method and included services before travel.
Plan transport for appointments
Allow time for traffic and avoid a plan that depends on driving yourself immediately after sedation, anaesthesia or a procedure that limits movement or vision. Ask whether a companion is required.
Separate transport from medical supervision
A driver can provide transport but is not a substitute for a responsible adult or trained medical support when either is required. Clarify discharge and early-recovery arrangements in advance.
Prepare for a longer stay
Healing is not completely predictable. Flexible accommodation can be useful if review is delayed or the surgeon advises remaining nearby for longer.
Tourism must fit around recovery
Sightseeing, shopping, heat, sun exposure, crowded areas and long journeys may be inappropriate during early recovery. Follow procedure-specific restrictions and do not treat tourism as part of the medical result.
Keep non-medical costs transparent
Ask separately about accommodation, local transport, tourism, meals, companion expenses and changes to bookings. These services may have different providers and cancellation rules from clinical care.
Use the clinic location when planning
Appointments take place at Albucasis Aesthetic & Plastic Surgery Clinic in Satellite Town, Rawalpindi. Use the current Google Maps listing rather than an old directory address.
Treatment availability and suitability are confirmed by the clinic after assessment. These guides are educational and do not replace individual medical advice.
