Procedure duration
FUE commonly takes 5–10 hours depending on graft count, extraction difficulty and placement.
Individual-graft hair restoration

Individual follicles are transplanted with minimal scarring and a naturally designed hairline.
Clear overview
Follicular Unit Extraction removes follicular units individually from a donor area and places selected grafts into planned recipient sites. It avoids a single linear donor scar but still creates many small extraction marks and requires careful donor management.

Safety screening
This list is not exhaustive. Suitability and contraindications require confirmation by the treating clinician.
Individual decision-making
Dr Husnain’s team assesses diagnosis, donor density, hair calibre, future loss and the number of grafts that can be harvested safely. A conservative hairline protects limited donor supply and supports a natural long-term appearance.
Step-by-step overview
The exact technique, anaesthesia and setting depend on your examination and agreed treatment plan. A typical procedure may include:
FUE commonly takes 5–10 hours depending on graft count, extraction difficulty and placement.
Local anaesthetic injections numb donor and recipient areas; selected sedation may be used.
This overview is educational, not a personalised operative plan. Your consultation and consent discussion will explain the technique proposed for you.
After your procedure
Small crusts and redness are expected. Transplanted shafts commonly shed before follicles begin a new growth cycle. Visible growth is gradual, with continued change over many months rather than an instant final result.
Small crusts and donor redness often remain visible during early healing.
Sweating, friction and graft disturbance are avoided until cleared.
Density usually continues improving for roughly 9–12 months or longer.
These are general planning ranges, not a personal clearance date. Recovery differs between patients, and your written instructions and Dr Husnain’s advice take priority over general information online.
Result development
Growth begins around three to four months and develops for 9–15 months. Donor extraction marks remain even when hard to see.

No procedure that cuts the skin is scar-free. FUE usually leaves many small extraction scars rather than one linear scar.
That depends on the size of the area, desired coverage, hair characteristics and safe donor capacity; it cannot be determined accurately from a generic package.
Removing too many follicles or clustering extractions can leave permanent patchy donor thinning.
Full, partial or no-shave approaches depend on graft number, hair length and clinic technique.
Only after the surgeon confirms it will not touch or dislodge grafts.
Yes. Donor follicles are finite and need lifetime planning.
Donor supply rarely matches the density lost across a very large area; priorities and coverage must be realistic.
It generally describes implantation with a pen-style device; graft harvesting may still be FUE. It does not guarantee better growth.
